Chapter Exercise

6.4. Chapter Exercise#

Apply the key ideas from this chapter in the connected task below. Work in your own notebook or local project. Keep your implementation, reasoning, and verification results together.

6.4.1. Compose and export a figure#

  1. Use a real dataset already supplied in the book to build a Matplotlib figure with two complementary Axes and a stated question.

  2. Use the object-oriented interface to choose plot types, labels, limits, legend, and consistent styling. Explain the roles of Figure, Axes, and pyplot.

  3. Save the figure at a deliberate size and resolution, reopen it, and verify readable labels and truthful scales. Check plotted values against the data and explain why the two views belong together.
